Weekly Tarot Reading for the week of May 15, 2017
Three of Pentacles, Five of Wands, & Queen of Pentacles
Three of Pentacles – click here for an in-depth analysis (this week’s card).
This week you may see your hard work begin to pay off. You’ve been practicing to improve your skills or talents, you’ve been dedicated and committed, and you have been collaborating with the right people and they are noticing. While you may have found some early success, you will need to work towards the future so you expand and enjoy even more success.
Five of Wands –
The Five of Wands can be a multifaceted card. It can involves healthy competition. Competing with other makes us strive to be better; to the be the best. Or, it can point to tension, conflict, and challenges. Yet another aspect could be working with people who have opposing view/perspectives, and through each of your different experiences, cultures, and ideas, you can make one hell of a team.
Queen of Pentacles –
The Queen of Pentacles is the epitome of Mother Earth. She is warm and down-to-earth, kind and compassionate, and creates a calm environment. This card can also point to security, stability, and prosperity due to your hard work. If you do have a demanding career or business, you may find yourself needing to balance your home and your career; your work life and personal life.
Whereas Minor Arcana cards represent our day-to-day lives; our ups and downs, challenges and opportunities.
2 out of 3 are Pentacles (1 Court) and 1 Wands, 0 Swords, Cups, or Majors.
Pentacles suit – Keywords: Materials things, money, resources, stability, work for physical reward, health, finances, practicality, being grounded..
Wands suit – Keywords: Enthusiasm, energy, ideas, the first spark, initiative, adventure, inspiration, expansion, creativity, career, hobbies, sports, art etc. All things you are deeply passionate about
With Two Pentacles and One Wand, just from an elemental aspect, this week will focus mostly on resources and stability as well goals and passions. However, there may be a lack of mental activity, conflict or challenges (Swords) and lack of emotions (Cups).
Directionality – In this reading, the central card is the focus of the two flanking cards. Although the maiden in the Three of Pentacles is looking down, she is facing to the right and the Queen of Pentacles is facing to the left, both are facing the central card, the ‘central problem’. ¹
The maiden wants to progress to the prosperity and stability, the Queen offers but the Five may be standing in her way. If you have been working hard and attaining your goal(s) and have created a successful beginning, you may experience some challenges or conflict, especially with you employees, partner, or co-workers, which may stand in the way of future success. Be wary of this.
The is only one possibility – I’ll discuss the other in the summary.
The Pentacles both deal with finances, resources, stability, and security. The Three and the Queen both suggest success and thus stability. In the Three, you’ve worked hard; you were committed, open-minded, and learned from other’s experiences and wisdom, which can only help to you succeed even further. The Queen will give you the support you need. She will also help you to be prosperous, but also warns of working too much and needing to balance yourself with your work life and personal life.
The Five implies you may run into some challenges on the way or, that the people you’re collaborated work will help you get there. So watch for this Five this week. The Queen may be one of these people or could be an aspect of yourself.
