Weekend Reading May 6 – 7, 2017

Weekend Reading for May 6 & 7, 2017

I used the Gateway Oracle deck to choose a card to set the theme for the reading.

I pulled the card Mending Bridges and the message on the card:
“I heal rifts. I am a mender.”

This is not a time to cut and run, instead you should stay and heal present or old wounds. It’s necessary to forgive, in order to be able to move forward.

Questions to ask yourself: Is there an area in my life that needs mending, if so what is it and what would be the first step I can take to resolve it? Could it be something within myself?

I then drew two Tarot cards: the Seven of Earth and the Three of Air.

The Seven of Earth implies you have been hard at work and you’ve been waiting for all your hard work to pay off. However, you may be feeling antsy, frustrated, and beginning to feel like giving up. The message of this card is to hang in there and be patient. Your efforts may soon be rewarded. Nevertheless, if you do not succeed, try and try again. But you may want to take a step back and reevaluate and reassess the situation and your options.

The Three of Air suggests your heart is what needs mending. You’ve been rejected, betrayed, or hurt in some deep way, you literally feel heartbroken. With every negative experience is a silver lining that can be difficult to see in the moment.

When we meld these two cards together under the theme of mending and healing, the reading is suggesting to take this weekend to go back and ask yourself if you’ve really forgiven yourself, and/or the person who’s hurt you. You believed you moved on and thought you were making progress, but maybe it’s not as much as you hoped for. Subconsciously you are still living in the past and haven’t move on or past it, like you thought.

If you take the time to reflect and be honest with yourself, you can learn much from your sadness and grief and as a result, you can hopefully prevent it from happening again and not repeat the same mistake(s).
