Ten of Swords, The Tower, & Page of Swords.
Ten of Swords– click here for an in-depth analysis (this week’s card)
This week you may experience a sudden and unexpected ending or loss, or a possible betrayal.
It may be a loss of job, or a loss of a relationship due possibly to a betrayal. This will be shocking and painful and you will need time to heal. However, in the end, you may look back and feel it had a silver lining. Whether it brings about positive change or it teaches you a valuable lesson, some negative experiences help us to grow to be our better selves. With the end of one cycle, comes the beginning of a new one.
The Tower –
The Tower card is very similar to the Ten of Swords. The Tower is all about sudden changes and an abrupt upheaval.
The Tower is blasted by a lightening strike, tearing down the old structure, leaving a blank foundation for a new structure to be rebuilt. We can not stop the storm from blowing in and forcing us to make changes in our life. We must surrender to this transition and trusting that everything happens for a reason.
Page of Swords–
The Page of Swords represents a person who is either young or young at heart, who is full of energy, curiosity and enthusiasm, especially for new projects. They are also very chatty, full of ideas, and is honest and trustworthy.
This person, whether it’s a colleague or a friend, may be able to help you through this painful period. or…it could represent the energies or qualities within yourself.
Major Arcana cards represent archetypal energies, stages of development, and life lessons/milestones, many of us experience throughout our lives.
Whereas Minor Arcana cards represent our day-to-day lives; our ups and downs, challenges and opportunities.
Two Swords Cards – Keywords: Thoughts, words, double-edged swords, conflict, strife, challenge, communication, idea, plans.
This week will focus on these areas. When we are going through a transition, there is much thought and planning to be done and we can experience some challenges.
Ten – the number Ten is associated with ending and beginnings.
Directionality – The man in the Ten of Swords is dead and the King and Queen in the Tower, are falling to their deaths, while the Page of Swords looks back at them saying “I can make it all better”.
The Ten of Swords and The Tower both suggest a big change is coming and that it is beyond your control. Being the Tower is a Major card, this change could have an important impact on your life or your life’s direction.
This loss will be painful and hurtful, and you’ll need some time to heal. During this healing time, you should take time for introspection and reflection.
The Page of Swords’ energies, which lies within yourself, are exactly what you need to help you through this. The Page of Swords can herald a new beginning in your life, which is what the Ten of Swords and the Tower, ultimately suggest will happen. This is a time to be open to new ideas, opportunities, and new perspectives on life.
This can be a time of self-discovery, renewal and a feeling of being reborn. Whether it be a career change, an attitude change, or a change in self-esteem, et cetera, this will be a change for the better – a new lease on life.
