Hello Fellow Tarot Lovers,
My name is Freyja and I have been practicing the Tarot for almost five years and I have loved every single moment. I feel so connected to these 78 cards and am astounded by the benefits and insight they offer. I’m currently a member of the American Tarot Association and the Tarot Association of the British Isles. In addition, I’m a volunteer free reader for both of their networks. These free readings have allowed me to grow as a Tarot reader and it has been truly rewarding to help people through the cards.
When I first began learning and practicing the Tarot, I found a vast array of Tarot blogs/sites, offering generous amounts of information, for free! I am extremely appreciative these Tarotists were willing to take the time to share their knowledge and their experiences and now, I would like to pay it forward and help others, the way they helped me.
How and why I use the Tarot
Personally, I do not use the Tarot cards to foretell or predict the future. I do not possess any supernatural abilities therefore, I am unable to accurately answer questions such as “will this happen” or “when…”. While some Tarotists do use the cards as a fortune telling apparatus, not all of us do. This is a common misconception of the Tarot.
Alternatively, I use the Tarot as a key to unlock our subconscious, revealing the insight and knowledge our minds suppress, sometimes in an attempt to protect ourselves. As an intuitive reader, I interpret the rich symbolism found in the card’s imagery, pulling back the curtain so the truth can be revealed. The Tarot cards can tap into both positive and negative thoughts and ideas, challenges and opportunities, questions and answers, etc. that are lying just below the surface. As a Tarot reader, I use these findings to offer guidance, as well as empowerment, with the matter at hand. When used in this manner, the Tarot can be a constructive, therapeutic, and beneficial tool, opening the doors to unknown opportunities, paths, messages and so much more.
Currently, I incorporate directionality, stages of development, esoteric numerology, and note prevalent as well as missing elements in my readings. I do not read reversed cards as of yet, nor do I have the knowledge to add Kabbalah/Sephiroth correspondences. However, I am in the process of taking a self-study astrology course and would like to eventually learn and add other associations, so I can expand my reading and offer the most extensive guidance I possibly can.

What this site offers
While this site is geared towards the beginner Tarot student, I will be including deck and book reviews, information on the traditional symbolism found in the card’s imagery along with their history and origin, and other posts that advanced students may find interesting as well.
I currently offer general and in-depth information on the Tarot such as card keywords, card meanings (extensive interpretation), the four elements, numerology, and spreads (see Tarotory). In addition, I have created fun exercises to assist in the learning and deepening of your card meanings and will routinely include the following:
- Weekly Learning Card – I will draw one new card, each week, for 78 weeks. This card will include comprehensive information, including the suit meaning, numerical meaning, card description, symbols, card meaning including interpretations for both ‘career’ and ‘romance’, questions to ask yourself, and a related quote.
- Weekly Tarot Readings – each week I will perform a 3 card reading using the weekly card, so you may see the card in action.
- Weekend Readings using Oracle cards or Runes with the Tarot
- New Moon Readings every month
- Neverending Story continuing writing exercise (every week or so)
- Tinder for the Courts writing exercise
- And much more…
In addition to the Tarot, I will also be writing posts about oracle cards, Runes (Elder Futhark), and eventually Petit Lenormand cards.
In the future, I am considering offering email readings for charity donations (I will offer the choices) in lieu of payments.
Although I have been practicing the Tarot for almost five years and I’m comfortable with the card meanings, I still have so much more to learn and I invite you to join me on my continuing Tarot journey.
